If you head down to Bunder and find Ansari Road, you’ll see us. Janatha Agency is right in the thick of the port area. It’s a hectic place with all the loading and unloading. We’ve been operating out of this small office for a long time. It’s dusty and the air smells like the sea and diesel. We deal with various goods that come through the port. It’s a lot of coordinating between the trucks and the ships. I spend most of my time on the phone or shouting to be heard over the noise outside. We don't have a corporate structure. There’s me, a clerk, and a couple of guys who handle the heavy lifting. We eat lunch on our desks and keep the fans running all day to deal with the heat. People in this area know us as the place that gets things moved without making a big deal of it. We don’t have a fancy logo or a glossy brochure. We just have our reputation in the market. Some days the traffic on Ansari Road is so bad that nothing moves, and those are the days we catch up on our ledger books. It’s not a glamorous job, but someone has to do it. We’ve seen many businesses come and go in Bunder, but we’ve managed to stick around through the years. It's about being here when the ships come in and staying until the job is done.
