Siddartha Education Institutes

Out here in Murukambattu, you’ll find Siddartha Education Institutes. It sits right in Chittoor. We’ve been running things here for some time. It's not a huge fancy campus, but we have enough rooms for the students to sit and learn. Usually, the morning starts with the sound of cycles and scooters pulling up. Chittoor can get pretty hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans running as much as possible. Students come from nearby villages mostly. They bring their lunches in those steel tiffin boxes and sit under the trees if it's not too dusty. We have a few buildings for different classes. The office is right near the front where I sit and handle the paperwork. Sometimes the phone rings all day with parents asking about exams or holidays. It’s a lot of work keeping up with everything. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint next summer. We have a small staff room where we drink tea and talk about the day's schedule. It’s a basic setup, really. No big signs or anything, just the name on the gate. We focus on getting through the syllabus. People in the area know us well enough by now. It’s just a regular part of life here in this corner of Chittoor. The bus stop isn't too far away either, which helps the kids get home before dark. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
