About Kumars Junior College – Education in Chittoor
Our college is right on Prakasam Road in Tirupati. If you know that road, you know how busy it gets with all the pilgrims and the local traffic going towards the temple area. We are at number 215. It’s a pretty standard building for a junior college in a city like this. Space is a bit tight because we are in the middle of a commercial area, so there isn't a huge playground or anything. Students mostly hang out near the entrance or by the small shops on the street during their breaks. It’s loud out there with the horns and people shouting, but once you get inside the classrooms, it’s a bit better. The rooms have high ceilings and old wooden benches that have seen a lot of use over the years. We deal with the usual crowds of intermediate students who are all trying to figure out what to do after their exams. Tirupati is a hot place, so by afternoon, everyone is just waiting for the day to end. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they hold up. We don't have fancy office rooms; it’s mostly just desks piled with files and registers. It’s a busy, cramped, and honest sort of place. Most of the people working here live just a few streets away, so it really is a local operation for the neighborhood kids who need to finish their schooling.
