People usually find us here at 13 East spur tank road because it’s a spot they know. We’ve been running things for a while now and it’s mostly just about keeping the doors open and making sure the staff has what they need to help whoever walks in. It gets pretty busy around here especially in the mornings when the traffic on the road starts picking up. You can hear the cars outside while you’re standing in the lobby. The building isn’t brand new or anything like that but it works for what we do every day. We have different floors for different things and the elevators can be a bit slow sometimes when everyone is moving at once. Most of the nurses have been here for years so they know the layout better than anyone. It’s not a fancy place with lots of decorations or big posters. We just have the chairs in the waiting area and the desks where people sign in. Sometimes it feels like a lot is happening at once but we try to keep it organized enough so nobody gets lost. People come from all over this part of town and even further out. We just focus on the work right in front of us. There’s always someone coming in or leaving and the sounds of the hospital are just part of the background. It’s a busy life here on the spur tank road but we are used to it.
