Ganga Hospital

Down in Chennai at 12 Thiruvalluvar Kovil Street in Mylapore you will find Ganga Hospital. It’s a busy part of town especially with the temple right nearby and all the flower sellers on the corners. The hospital itself is a place where there is always something going on no matter what time of day or night it is. We have nurses and staff moving around the corridors and the smell of antiseptic is pretty strong most days. It is not a massive corporate hospital with hundreds of floors but it serves the people around here in Mylapore well enough for their daily needs. We have some fans humming in the waiting area and the benches are usually full of people waiting for their turn to see the doctor. The street outside is narrow and can get quite crowded with bikes and pedestrians so getting in and out takes a bit of patience. We have been here for a long time and the building shows its age in some spots but we keep it as clean as we can. It is a local place where neighbors come when they aren't feeling well or need a quick checkup. We don't have any fancy marketing slogans or big billboards. We just open the doors in the morning and do our best to help whoever walks in with a fever or a scraped knee. It is just a part of the community here.
