Our spot is at 32 / 69 Basha Street in Chennai, which is a busy area to say the least. If you’ve ever tried to park a scooter around here during rush hour, you know what I mean. Voltech Engineers Pvt Ltd has been based in this neighborhood for quite a long time now. The building is older, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it feels like home to us. Chennai is always humid, so we keep the fans running all day long while we work through our project lists. We don’t really do the whole corporate hierarchy thing. Everyone just chips in where they can to make sure the engineering work gets completed. Sometimes the street noise from Basha Street makes it hard to hear on the phone, but you get used to it after a few months. We’ve had the same neighbors for years, and we all look out for each other. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find leather sofas or a receptionist in a suit. Instead, you’ll find desks covered in papers and a few of us trying to figure out a difficult technical problem over a cup of strong coffee. We’re just regular people working hard in the city. We like being part of the local fabric here in 600094. It’s a busy, messy, and honest way to spend the day, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
