E Machine Shop

E Machine Shop is located at 3/2, Swarnambigai Street in Gandhi Nagar. This is right in the Ekkatuthangal area too. It’s a narrow street, so it can be a bit tricky for big trucks, but we make it work. We have our machines set up in a long, thin room. It’s not the biggest shop, but we’ve arranged it so everything is within reach. We do general machining work. Most of the day is spent listening to the hum of the motors. We have a lot of metal scraps in bins near the door. It smells like cutting oil and coolants inside. The lighting isn't great, but we have lamps over the work areas. Our small team has been together for a long time. We don't have any corporate titles or anything. We just all do what needs to be done. If the floor needs cleaning, we clean it. If a machine needs oiling, we oil it. We have a small bench outside where we sit for ten minutes to have some tea and watch the people go by on Swarnambigai Street. Gandhi Nagar is a busy little pocket. We like being part of the neighborhood. We don't bother with fancy presentations. If someone needs a part made or fixed, they just come in and talk to us. That’s how we like to run the shop. We usually stay until the last job of the day is done.
