Elta Tools & Dies

At D-30 on the 3rd Main Road of the Ambattur Industrial Estate, that is where Elta Tools & Dies is based. We’ve been in this part of the estate for a long time now. The building is solid, and inside, we have all the equipment we need to work on various tools and dies. It’s precision work, even if the shop looks a bit rugged from the outside. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and measuring things down to the last millimeter. The machines hum all day long, and there is a constant rhythm to the work that we’ve all grown used to. Being in Ambattur means we are surrounded by other manufacturers, which is handy when we need supplies or a bit of specialized help. We don't go in for big meetings or corporate talk. Mostly, we just stand at our benches and get the job done. The air usually smells like cutting fluid, and there’s a layer of fine dust on most of the non-working surfaces, but that is just the reality of a tool and die shop. We take our time with the work because rushing leads to mistakes, and in this business, you can't afford to be off by even a tiny bit. It is just us here, doing the work we know how to do, day in and day out. Some days the power goes out, but we just wait it out and start again when it’s back.
