Vishnu Coffee

At Vishnu Coffee, we’re based at number 37 on 2nd Avenue in Nehru Nagar, over in Annanagar. The whole street usually smells like roasted beans, which I guess is a good sign for us and the neighbors. We’ve been in this spot for quite some time, and it’s become like a second home to us. The building isn't brand new, and the paint is peeling a bit near the front window, but it’s a comfortable place to work. We spend a lot of time grinding and packing, so there’s always a bit of dust on the counters by the end of the day. We aren't a big chain with hundreds of locations across the city. We’re just this one shop on 2nd Avenue. We know most of our regular customers by their first names and how they like their coffee beans ground. It’s a small operation, and we like it that way because we can keep an eye on everything ourselves without too much trouble. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. Most of our new customers just come in because they were walking by and liked the smell of the roast. We have a couple of old chairs for people to sit on while they wait, but most folks just grab what they need and head off. It’s just us doing what we do, making coffee and trying to stay busy in Nehru Nagar.
