Venkataeswara Hospitals

We’ve been here at Venkataeswara Hospitals at 36A Chamiers Road for a good while now. Nandanam is a really busy part of the city, and you can definitely feel that from inside the building. There’s always someone coming through the front doors, whether it’s early morning or late at night. The lobby gets a bit crowded sometimes, especially when the doctors are doing their rounds. We try to keep things moving along, but hospitals are just naturally slow-moving places. You’ll see the nurses rushing around in their uniforms and people sitting in the waiting area looking at their phones or just staring out the window at the cars. The traffic on Chamiers Road never really stops, so there’s a constant hum of engines and horns in the background. It’s a plain building, nothing too fancy to look at from the sidewalk, but it’s where we do our work every day. We know most of the faces that come in from the local neighborhood. Some people have been coming to see us for many years. It’s just how it is here. The floors are cleaned constantly, so that smell of soap and disinfectant is always in the air. We keep all the patient files in big metal cabinets behind the front desk. Sometimes it takes us a minute to find exactly what we need, but we get there eventually. It’s a lot of paper and a lot of talking to people who are usually feeling a bit worried.
