Vels Pet Hospital

Vels Pet Hospital is our little place over at 147 Chandra Complex. It is right on Velachery Main Road in the Pallikaranai area of Chennai. If you are looking for us, we are quite near the police station, which makes it easy to explain the location to people who are visiting for the first time. We spend most of our days here looking after all kinds of pets. Mostly it is dogs and cats, but now and then someone brings in something a bit different. The hospital isn't one of those massive corporate buildings you see in the city center. It is just a practical space where we can do our work and keep the animals comfortable. The traffic on Velachery Main Road can get pretty loud during the day, but once you step inside, it is mostly just the sound of dogs barking or someone waiting in the lobby. We have been in this spot for a while now and we have seen a lot of animals grow up from being tiny puppies to old dogs. The staff here are just regular people who really like animals. We don't have a lot of fancy uniforms or anything like that. We just show up and see what the day brings. Sometimes the waiting room gets a bit crowded on Saturday mornings because that is when everyone is off work. We try to get through the line as fast as we can. It is just a local spot for folks around Velachery.
