Vasantham is located at No 38 Kasi Chetty Street. If you’ve ever been down Kasi Chetty Street, you know exactly how it is. It’s crowded, loud, and there is always someone trying to squeeze a cart past you. Our place at number 38 is right in the thick of it. We have been here through all sorts of weather and changes in the neighborhood. The building itself is old, but it holds up well. We do most of our business right from the front area. It’s not a place for someone who likes peace and quiet. We’re constantly moving boxes, talking to suppliers, and helping out whoever walks through the door. Kasi Chetty Street has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a part of that over the years. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Word of mouth is mostly how people find us, or they just stumble upon us while looking for something else on the street. It’s a bit messy sometimes with all the stock, but we know where everything is. When it rains, the street gets a little chaotic with everyone running for cover, but we just pull the shutters a bit and keep going. We don't try to make the place look like a high-end boutique because that’s not what we are. We’re just a local business at No 38 trying to make a living. It’s hard work, but we like the energy of the street.
