Vardhaman Stone

Being in T Nagar means there is never a quiet moment. Vardhaman Stone is tucked away on Ramanathan Street, which is part of the Postal Colony area. It is a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when the big delivery trucks try to navigate these streets. We have a lot of different types of stone sitting around. It is heavy, cold stuff to handle. Most of our day is spent showing people the different slabs or helping them figure out what fits their needs. We don't use a lot of fancy words for things. It is just stone. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit messy, but we keep working through it. The neighbors know us because we have been at number 58 for a long time. You can hear the sound of stone being moved from blocks away. It is a physical job. We get dusty and our hands are usually calloused. T Nagar is a busy hub, so there are always people walking past the shop. We see the mail carriers from the Postal Colony going about their business. It is a bit cramped in the yard, but we manage to fit everything in. We just focus on getting the slabs loaded up and sent out to the construction sites. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. Most people just want something that looks right in their house and holds up over time.
