V P Hospital

V P Hospital is located at House No 5 on Panchayat Main Road in Perungudi. It started out as a smaller setup and just sort of grew over the years as the area became more crowded. The road outside is always busy with bikes and people heading to work, so getting in and out of the gate can be a bit of a hassle sometimes. We have a small reception area where Lakshmi sits; she’s been with us forever and knows almost every patient who walks through the door. The rooms are basic, nothing too fancy, just what you need for a hospital stay. We spend a lot of time making sure the beds are clean and the medicine trolley is stocked up. During the monsoon, the street outside sometimes gets a bit flooded, so we have to put out sandbags to keep the water from coming into the lobby. It’s a very local atmosphere here, and we don't have those big digital screens or fancy waiting lounges you see in the city center. We have a couple of benches under the shade of a tree in the back where people like to sit and talk. The doctors are usually around, but they might be tied up in a room for a while, so patience is something our regulars have learned. It’s a simple, working hospital that serves the people living right here in Perungudi, and we just keep at it every day.
