Our center is located inside the Government ITI Campus over in the Thiru Vi Ka Industrial Estate in Guindy. It is a big area, so sometimes people get a bit turned around trying to find the right building for Tn Apex Skill Development Centre For Logistics. The estate itself is always busy with trucks and workers, especially in the mornings. We have been operating out of this spot because it puts us right in the middle of all the industrial action. Inside, the rooms are pretty basic with standard tables and chairs. It is not air-conditioned everywhere, so it can get quite warm during the peak summer months in Chennai. We spend a lot of time organizing things for the logistics courses and talking to the people who come through the gates. The campus has that old government building feel to it, with high ceilings and heavy doors. There is plenty of space for the equipment and tools we use for the training sessions. Most days, you will find us checking schedules or moving boxes around to make room for new materials. It is a very practical environment. We don’t have a big reception area or a glossy sign. People usually find us by word of mouth or because they were already looking for something at the ITI. It is a straightforward place where the focus is on the work right in front of us.
