Digital Library Consultants

Digital Library Consultants is located in the T-Nagar area of Chennai. Our office is at No. 6 on the 2nd Floor of a building on 4th Street in Bharathi Nagar. T-Nagar is known for being incredibly crowded and loud, but our particular street is a bit more tucked away from the main chaos. We spend our time helping various organizations and schools turn their physical books and paper records into digital files. It is a lot of scanning and careful indexing. The office is usually filled with the sound of scanners running and people clicking through databases. It’s a bit of a niche job, but it is important for keeping records safe for the future. Since it’s Chennai, we keep the air conditioning running pretty much all day long to protect the equipment and the old documents we work with. We are a small team and we usually sit around a few long tables piled with books and hard drives. There’s a lot of coffee drinking involved to stay focused during the long scanning sessions. We’ve been at this Bharathi Nagar location for a while. It’s not a glamorous job, sitting in a room and digitizing thousands of pages, but we find it satisfying. We just focus on getting the data organized properly and making sure nothing gets lost in the process. It is a steady, quiet kind of work that keeps us very busy.
