Time Pass Tea & Coffee Shop

Being right near Pachayappa Mens College at number 183 means we see a lot of students every single day. They are always in a hurry or standing around in groups talking about their classes. The shop is small and sometimes it feels a bit cramped when everyone crowds in at once during the lunch break. We spend our time making tea and coffee and trying to keep up with the orders. It gets really loud during the afternoon hours. We’ve got a few benches for people to sit on but mostly they just stand outside on the pavement under the shade. My hands are usually wet from washing glasses or a bit sticky from the sugar jars. We don’t use any big fancy machines, just the basic stuff that gets the job done for us. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint but we haven't really found the time to close up and do it yet. Time Pass Tea & Coffee Shop is just a regular spot for people to stop for a minute. We don't do anything special or have a menu that's too long to read. It is just us working behind the counter from early morning until late evening. Some days are slower than others especially when the college is closed for holidays. Then it’s just us and the other local shopkeepers from the street. We’ve been here at this address for a long time and we know almost every face that passes by.
