The Chennai Beverage

Our shop, The Chennai Beverage, is located at 37/2 in Choolaimedu. If you know this part of Chennai, you know it’s always buzzing with people and bikes. We’ve been right here for a good while now. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning and glass doors. It’s a real workspace with concrete floors and stacks of crates reaching up to the ceiling. We spend most of our mornings unloading trucks and getting things organized before it gets too hot to move. The sun in Choolaimedu can be really tough, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy slogans for us. We just focus on the work at hand. Sometimes the place gets a bit dusty because of the road outside, but that’s just how it is. We know the neighbors and the other shop owners around here. It’s a tight-knit spot. We don’t use corporate language or talk about missions. We just show up every day, move the bottles, and make sure the deliveries are on time. It’s hard work and our backs usually ache by the end of the shift. But we like the routine of it. If you’re ever passing through 37/2, you’ll see us there, just doing what we do every single day without much fuss. We've seen the neighborhood change a lot, but we stay the same.
