Tamin Granites Plant

Our plant is located at No 31 Kamarajar Salai in the Chepauk area. It is a pretty well-known part of the city, especially with the beach and the stadium nearby. Being at a granite plant means there is always something going on. The machines are usually running, cutting through the big blocks of stone we bring in. It is a noisy process and there is water everywhere to keep the blades cool, so the floor stays pretty wet. We have a lot of people working here, from the guys operating the heavy machinery to the ones checking the finished slabs for any cracks or flaws. Kamarajar Salai is a busy road, so there is always the sound of traffic outside our gates. We have been operating from this spot for quite a while now. The office is just a small part of the building where we keep the records and handle the logistics of shipping the stone out to different places. It is not the kind of place where you would want to wear your best clothes because you are likely to get a bit of stone dust on you just walking through the yard. We take pride in just getting the work done day after day. It is a steady rhythm of unloading raw stone and sending out finished pieces. We do not really have time for much else, as there is always a new shipment arriving or an order that needs to be loaded.
