Syed Stonex

Our place, Syed Stonex, is located right in the Mosque Complex. We are up on the 3rd floor, at No. 54 L. B. Road in Adyar. It’s a busy part of the city, so there is always noise from the traffic down on L. B. Road. Being on the third floor means we carry some of the smaller samples up, but most of the heavy stuff stays elsewhere. The office is a bit cramped because we have a lot of samples lying around on the floor and on the desks. It’s not very fancy, just a few chairs and a table where we talk to people who stop by. Sometimes the elevator in the complex is a bit slow, so we end up taking the stairs. Adyar is a good place to be, even if parking can be a real headache for everyone. We’ve been here for a bit, and we know the other shop owners in the Mosque Complex pretty well. We usually have tea together in the afternoons when things quiet down. We don't really have a big team, just a couple of us managing the orders and the phones. It gets quite bright in the office during the morning. We try to keep things organized, but with stone samples, it’s hard to keep everything tidy. People usually find us through word of mouth or they just see the sign while walking along L.B. Road. It’s a practical setup for what we do.
