Surapi Exports

We’ve been at 125 Royapettah High Road for a while now. Most people in Mylapore probably pass by our building without thinking much about it. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the traffic starts picking up outside. Surapi Exports is basically just a few of us handling a lot of paperwork and making sure things get where they need to go. The office isn't anything fancy. We have desks piled with files and the coffee machine usually needs a good kick to start working. Sometimes the humidity in Chennai gets to us, but we keep the fans going. We spend a lot of time on the phone dealing with shipping schedules. It gets loud with the horns honking outside on the High Road, but you get used to it after a week or two. There isn't a big sign or anything flashy. We just do our work and go home. People ask what we export and it’s a bit of everything, really. Usually, it's just about meeting deadlines and making sure the containers are packed right. The stairs up to the office are a bit steep, so we don’t move around more than we have to. It’s just a regular local business trying to keep things moving. We know the tea seller down the street pretty well. That’s about all there is to it.
