Abhikram International

Over on Flower Road in Kilpauk, you’ll find Abhikram International at 29/3. We’re tucked away in the Green Avenue area. It’s a pretty part of town, and we like being here. The office is in a building that’s seen its share of history. We have a few rooms filled with samples and documents from over the years. It isn’t the most modern setup, but it works for what we do. We spend a lot of time talking to people from all over, mostly on the computer or the phone. Dealing with international stuff means we sometimes have to stay late because of the time differences. It’s not always fun, but we’re used to it. We don't have a big corporate mission statement or anything like that. We just try to get the orders through and make sure nothing gets lost in transit. Sometimes things go wrong, like a shipment getting delayed or a mix-up with the paperwork, and we just have to stay calm and sort it out. We aren't a massive company with hundreds of employees. We’re just a small group of people who know how to get things from one place to another. We’ve been in Kilpauk for a long time and the locals know us. We don't do much marketing because we’re usually too busy with the work at hand. It’s a steady, honest way to make a living. We just take things one day at a time.
