Staar Film Institute Vadapalani

We are located in Vadapalani, right on 100 Feet Road in Vivekananda Colony. The office is on the first floor at No 87. It’s a very busy area, especially with all the traffic coming through this part of town at all hours. People often walk right past the building without noticing the sign, but we are there if you look for the first-floor windows. Staar Film Institute Vadapalani has been in this spot for some time now. The first floor gets a lot of the street noise, like the honking and the buses, but it’s manageable once you get inside and get to work. We have some basic gear and a few rooms set up for the daily classes. It isn't a huge studio or anything like that, just a place to learn the basics. You have to climb the stairs to get to us because there isn't an elevator in this particular building. The neighborhood has a lot of little shops and tea stalls nearby where people hang out during breaks. Sometimes the parking on 100 Feet Road is a real headache, so most of the staff and students just find a spot in the side lanes of Vivekananda Colony. We just focus on the work at hand. There's no fancy reception area or shiny decorations. It's just a place where we talk about films and practice things. The walls are a bit thin and you can hear the city moving outside, but it feels like a real part of Vadapalani.
