Ssp Trading Company

Down on Gajapathy Street, you'll find Ssp Trading Company right at No 5 on the first floor. If you know this part of Triplicane, you know it’s always crowded and full of life. We operate out of a few rooms that we’ve had for a good while now. The stairs leading up to our office are a bit narrow and steep, so you have to watch your step. Inside, it’s a typical trading setup with old wooden desks, lots of ledgers, and some ceiling fans that creak a bit when they are on full speed. We deal with all sorts of goods, and there is always something being bought or sold. The street outside is very narrow, so there’s a constant sound of bike horns and people shouting. It’s a lively atmosphere, even if it’s a bit noisy for some. We usually start our day early and keep going until late in the evening. There is almost always a pot of tea going somewhere in the back room. Our neighbors are a mix of other traders and families who have lived in Triplicane for generations. We don't have any fancy signs or glass doors; it’s just a regular place where we do our business. People who know us just walk up the stairs and find us at our desks. It’s a bit dusty and the walls could use some paint, but it works for us. We just focus on the daily trade and keeping our records straight. That’s how we’ve always done it.
