Sri Varadhaman Marbles & Granites

Our shop, Sri Varadhaman Marbles & Granites, is situated at 16/1 on CCH Road. We are pretty much directly opposite the Chinnamman Kovil temple, which is a great landmark to have nearby. You can often hear the temple bells while we are working, which is a nice change from the sound of stone saws. CCH Road is usually quite busy, so there is always a lot of traffic and people passing by our gate. We deal with both marbles and granites here. It involves a lot of heavy lifting, and my back definitely feels it by the end of the week. We try to keep a good variety of slabs so people have something to choose from when they stop in. The yard is usually full of different colors and types of stone. It gets a bit messy with all the scraps and the water we use for cutting, but that is just the nature of the stone business. We have been at this 16/1 location for some time now. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't; we are just a local stone yard. People from the neighborhood come by after visiting the temple sometimes just to see what is new. We spend most of our time out in the open air, regardless of whether it's raining or the sun is beating down on us. It is a lot of work to keep everything organized, but we just take it one day at a time and do our best to keep things moving.
