Sri Sairam Marbles

Our place is at No: 15, Kulakarai Street in Tirumullaivoil. It is a bit tucked away but people find us eventually. We have been here for a good while, selling marble to folks in the area. The shop is basically just a big storage area with slabs leaning against the walls. We don't have a website or any fancy brochures. People just come by and see the stone for themselves. We spend our days moving the pieces around so people can see the patterns. It is heavy work and we are often tired by the end of it. The street is usually quiet, but it gets tight when a delivery truck shows up. We have all sorts of marble, some with lots of colors and some that are just white. We just tell the truth about what we have in stock. If a piece has a mark on it, we show the customer. There is no point in pretending everything is perfect when it is natural stone. We like being in Tirumullaivoil. It is a decent place to work and the neighbors are friendly enough. We don't need much, just a bit of tea in the afternoon and enough orders to keep the lights on. It is a basic, honest way to make a living and we are fine with that. We keep some water in the back for when it gets too hot, and we just keep on moving the stone.
