Sri Kanni Cool Bar

Running a cool bar in Chennai means you’re always busy when the sun is out, which is most of the time. Sri Kanni Cool Bar is located at No.10/4 in Thirumalai Nagar, right on Radha Krishanan Salai. We are in the Alwarthiru Nagar area of Valasaravakkam. Most of our day is spent making sure the fridge is working right and the drinks are actually cold. People stop by when they’re tired of the heat and just want something to drink or a quick snack to keep them going. We have the usual sodas, juices, and maybe some light eats like biscuits or chips. It isn’t a place where you sit down for a long meal; it’s more of a quick stop for people on their way somewhere else. The street outside is usually busy with traffic, so we get a lot of bike riders and delivery guys stopping for a break. We keep the place as clean as we can, though with so many people coming in and out, it’s a constant task to sweep the floor. We don’t have a big menu or anything complicated here. We just focus on what people want when it’s hot outside. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to worry about the stock, but that’s just part of living in this city. We aren't trying to be a fancy cafe. We’re just a spot where you can get a cold drink and catch your breath for a minute before heading back out.
