Sri Dharmasasta Stone Merchant

You can find Sri Dharmasasta Stone Merchant at 83, Kaliamman Kovil Street in the Virugampakkam area. It is a busy street, especially with the temple nearby. We have stacks of stone slabs leaning against the walls of our small yard. It is a tight squeeze when a truck comes to unload new stock, and we often have to move things around just to make room. We have been here in Virugampakkam for many years, so the neighbors are quite used to the noise of us moving stone and the sound of the saws. We do not have a fancy showroom with bright lights and air conditioning. People just walk into the yard and look at the actual pieces of granite or marble we have. Most of our day is spent measuring slabs or helping someone pick a piece for a kitchen counter or some stairs. The stone comes in many colors and we try to keep it sorted so people can see what they are getting. It involves a lot of heavy lifting, which makes for long days. We use plenty of water to keep the dust down when we are cutting, so the yard is often a bit muddy. We are not trying to be a massive company. We are just a local stone yard on the street, doing our work and helping customers who stop by.
