Sri Balaji Preforms

Our workshop is located at Plot No 9 in the Harbour Colony, specifically on Second Street, 6th Lane in Kodungaiyur. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s mostly industrial, with a lot of noise and movement throughout the day. We’ve been running Sri Balaji Preforms from this same spot for a while now. The air is usually a bit thick with the smell of plastic and the sound of the machines running. We make preforms, which isn't the most exciting thing to talk about at a dinner party, but it’s what we know how to do. The crew here is small, mostly guys from the neighborhood who’ve been with us since the start. We don't have a big HR department or a marketing team telling us what to say. We just show up, check the machines, and start the production run. The floor is always a bit dusty, and there’s always a machine that needs a little bit of extra attention to keep it running right. Being near the harbor means there’s always a lot of activity nearby, which helps with getting things shipped out. We spend most of our time making sure the quality is alright and that we aren't wasting any material. It's hard work, and the summer heat doesn't make it any easier, but we've got a good rhythm going. It’s just us, some heavy machinery, and a lot of plastic, trying to make an honest living here in Kodungaiyur.
