Sri Amman Granites & Marbles

Sri Amman Granites & Marbles is located at 21, Maduravail, which is near the MGR University College in Tambaram. We’ve been operating from this spot for a long time. Having both granite and marble means we have a lot of different things to look after. The area near the college is usually quite busy with students and traffic. Our yard is where we spend most of our hours, surrounded by big stone slabs. It’s not a polished environment. There is stone dust on the floors and the tools are well-used. We don't go in for fancy talk or big promises. We just show what we have in stock. People from around Tambaram come to us when they are building or fixing up their places. The marble needs a bit more care than the granite, so we have to be mindful of how we store it. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, but we just keep doing what we do. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and measuring. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the materials well. Most of our business comes from people just dropping by because they saw the sign or heard about us from a neighbor. It’s a quiet, local business that focuses on the work at hand. We start early to avoid the worst of the heat and usually finish up once the evening traffic starts to pick up around the college. That is our day in Tambaram.
