We've been at No. 3 Karuppan Street for quite some time now, right behind the Select Theatre in Sowcarpet. It's a busy area, but people find us easily enough once they get to the theater. We handle slate here. Most days are just about managing the stock and talking to people who walk in needing something for their floors or walls. It's not a big fancy office, just a workspace where we keep things moving. The traffic around Sowcarpet can be a bit much, especially in the afternoons, so we usually tell people to come by early if they can. We just get on with the work. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere because of the materials, but that's part of the job. It's just us here, a small team keeping the inventory organized. We don't really do much besides the day-to-day tasks. If you are near Karuppan Street, you'll see the sign. We’ve had some regulars coming back for years. It's a simple setup. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. Usually, someone is around to help out with questions about what's in stock. The slate comes in different sizes and we just sort through it as it arrives. It's honest work. Nothing too complicated about how we run things. Just a local spot doing its bit in the neighborhood for a long time. We don't mind the noise much.
