We are located over on Venkatesan Street in Chennai, specifically at house number 17. Even though the official company name is Somotex Nigeria Ltd, this is our main spot in Tamil Nadu. It’s in the 600 013 zip code area. The street outside is usually very crowded with people, carts, and motorbikes, which is pretty typical for this part of the city. Our office is tucked away in one of those older buildings that has been around for decades. It is definitely not the most modern or high-tech place you will ever see. The paint is peeling a bit in the corners of the ceiling, but it works perfectly fine for what we need. We have some old ceiling fans that make a lot of noise when they are on high and desks that are usually piled high with folders and papers. We deal with a lot of coordination and logistics between here and our other business interests. Most of our day is spent checking through emails and making sure that things are moving to the right places. We don't have a big staff here, just a small handful of us who have been working together for years. We know the local tea shop guys and the postman quite well by now. There isn't any fancy corporate culture or mission statement here. We just come in, do our daily work, and head home when the sun goes down. Chennai weather can be really tough, so we stay inside.
