Akthar Star International is located at No. 467/179 in the Swami Sannathi Bazar. This is right in the heart of Tenkashi, Nellai. If you’ve ever walked through the bazar, you know how busy and crowded it can get. There are shoppers everywhere and the sounds of the market are constant from morning until night. Our shop is tucked in there among all the other vendors. We handle a variety of international and local goods, depending on what’s in demand. It’s a traditional bazar shop with shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling and items tucked into every available corner. It might look a bit disorganized to an outsider, but we have our own system for finding things. We’ve been part of the Tenkashi business community for quite a long time. We know our neighbors and many of the regular customers who walk through the bazar every week. It’s a very human way of doing business—lots of talking and personal interaction. We don't have any corporate policies or a fancy mission statement. We just open our doors every day and see what the market brings. Some days are incredibly hectic and other days we have time to sit and have a tea with the shopkeeper next door. It’s a life that revolves around the rhythm of the bazar, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
