City Top

City Top is our little place on Kamarajar Salai in Ashok Nagar. The address is No. 17/21. It’s a pretty busy road, so there is always the sound of horns and engines outside. We’ve been operating here for a while, and the building has seen better days, but it serves us well enough. We do a bit of everything here, depending on what the customers need that day. It's a lot of manual work and being on our feet for most of the shift. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to get around to it yet. We're usually too busy keeping up with the daily tasks. We aren't a big corporation with fancy offices. We're just a bunch of locals working in the neighborhood. Some of us have lived in Ashok Nagar our whole lives. We know the area well and the people who live around here. We don't have any scripted speeches or sales pitches. If you come in, we just talk to you like a normal person. It’s a practical way to run things, and it seems to work out for us. Sometimes we share a laugh over lunch in the back room before getting back to it. It’s just a regular business doing regular things on a busy street. The fan in the corner makes a clicking sound that we don't even notice anymore. It's just home for us.
