M K Electronics

Down here on Kamraj Street West, things move pretty fast. We are right near the State Bank of India, so there is always people walking by. M K Electronics has been in this spot for a while, though the address numbers changed from old 25 to new 14 over the years. It can be a bit confusing if you’re looking at an old map, but we are still the same shop. Inside, it’s mostly shelves full of components and circuit boards. There is usually a soldering iron heating up somewhere in the back. We spend most of our daylight hours looking at small parts and trying to figure out why a board isn't sparking right. It’s quiet work mostly, except for the traffic outside. People stop in because they know we are here and we don’t move around. We don't do much in the way of fancy displays. The front window usually has a few things we are working on or some parts we use a lot. It’s just me and a couple of others keeping things organized. We handle the stuff that people bring in, from small gadgets to bigger components. It's not a big corporate store where everything is in plastic wrap. It’s more of a workbench kind of place. We know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers on the street. It’s a good community to be part of, even when the rain floods the gutters out front.
