Our center is located over on Haddows Road in Nungambakkam, specifically at number 14. If you know Chennai, you know this is a pretty central spot. Sng Skill Development Center Privatelimited has been running for a while now. It’s not a huge building or anything, just some rooms where we hold classes and help people learn things they can actually use to find a job. Basic equipment and some computers are set up for the different courses. It’s a bit lived-in, but that’s because people are always here working on something. We don't have a big corporate lobby with fancy art. Instead, posters on the walls show different vocational paths and there are some notices about upcoming exams. The staff here are just regular people who know their stuff. We aren't polished public speakers. Sitting down with whoever comes in, we try to figure out what skills they’re missing. Sometimes paperwork keeps us busy, other times we’re showing someone how to use a piece of software. It’s practical work. Many different people have come through these doors, from students to older folks looking to change careers. We just keep things moving and try to be as helpful as we can without making it complicated. Being a local operation suits us. If you’re ever near Haddows Road, you might see us coming and going from the office. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't, just a place where learning happens every day.
