Shivpad Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is located at 7, Second Main Road in Nehru Nagar. It’s a pretty standard street with a lot of other businesses nearby. We’ve been here for a good while, and most people in the neighborhood know our building by now. The workshop area is where we spend the bulk of our time. It’s filled with the sound of metal and tools. We do engineering work, which means a lot of measuring and double-checking everything. It’s not the kind of job where you can rush, or things go wrong pretty quickly. We have a small office upstairs where we handle the billing and the drawings, but you’ll usually find the boss downstairs with a wrench or a clipboard. The walls are covered in old calendars and notes we’ve scribbled over the years. We don't have a polished showroom because we’d rather spend that money on better tools for the shop. During the monsoon, the street outside can get a bit flooded, so we have to be careful with the equipment. We don't make big promises or talk about being the best. We just take the jobs as they come and try to finish them without any drama. It’s a simple way to run a business, but it has worked for us so far. The guys who work here are mostly locals who’ve been with the company since the start. We’re just a bunch of engineers doing our thing every day.
