Cafoma Engine Components Pvt. Ltd. is based out of Plot No. F 25-27 in the Sipcot Industrial Park at Irungattukottai. Being in an industrial park means our daily life is mostly about the sound of machines and the smell of cut metal. It’s a long drive out here for some of us, but this is where all the manufacturing happens. The unit is pretty large, but it’s mostly filled with equipment and bins for engine parts. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor more often than in the small office area. Irungattukottai gets incredibly hot, especially with the heat from the machines, so we just try to keep the ventilation moving. It is a lot of repetitive work, checking tolerances and making sure the components are coming off the line correctly. We deal with a lot of truck drivers coming in to pick up loads, so there is always someone backing a trailer into the loading bay. The paperwork piles up on the desks, and the phones ring quite a bit, but we just handle it as it comes. It’s a gritty, noisy environment, but that is the nature of making engine parts. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't; we are just a bunch of people working in a factory park trying to get the orders out on time every single week.
