Sharath Hospital

We are located at No 193/5 on GNT Road, which is very close to the Redhills Bus Stand. Because of the bus stand, there is always a crowd of people moving past the front door. Sharath Hospital is a busy place because of that location. We get people who are just passing through town or those who live right here in Redhills. The noise from the buses and the shouting of the conductors is the soundtrack to our day. Inside, we have several beds and a small area for walk-in patients. The floors are made of old tile that we scrub down every night. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the mess that comes in from the dusty road outside. I spend a lot of time handling registrations and talking to families who are waiting for news. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations, just some plain walls and the necessary medical gear. Sometimes we stay open much later than planned because a bus arrives with someone who needs help. It can be exhausting, and the tea we drink is usually cold by the time we get to it. But that’s just the way it is when you’re situated on a main road like GNT. We focus on getting through the day and making sure everyone who comes in is looked after before they continue their journey.
