Shalom Granites & Ceramic Tiles

We’ve been here at 106, Nelson Manikam Road for quite a while now. Aminjikarai is a busy spot, and Shalom Granites & Ceramic Tiles is right in the middle of it. Mostly, we just handle the day-to-day work of showing people different types of stone and tiles for their floors or walls. It gets a bit dusty sometimes, but that’s just how it is with this kind of material. People come in looking for something specific, and we try to find it in the stacks. We have a lot of granite pieces sitting around and plenty of ceramic tiles in various sizes. The shop isn't fancy, but it works for what we do. If you walk down Nelson Manikam Road, you’ll see us. We spend a lot of time moving heavy slabs and making sure everything is organized enough to find what a customer needs. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the front for a bit, but we get things moved fast. It’s a local operation, nothing too big or complicated. We just focus on the stock we have and getting it out to whoever needs it for their house or building project. Most days are spent talking to contractors or homeowners who just want to see the texture of a granite slab before they decide. We don't do much talking, mostly just showing the goods and giving the price. It’s been our routine here at Aminjikarai for years, and we just keep at it every morning when we open up.
