Shabanesa

Purasawalkam High Road is a hectic place to be, especially around Prince Towers where we are set up. Our spot is at B-20, and it’s basically where all the action happens for Shabanesa. We spend our days sorting through items and making sure orders are ready. It’s not a huge space, but we make it work by stacking things high and staying organized. You can hear the noise from the road all day long, which keeps things lively. We’ve been in this building for some time, and we know the other shop owners and the security guards quite well. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting and checking and re-checking. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us doing the job. Sometimes the elevators are slow, so we take the stairs to get things moving faster. The office has that lived-in feel, with papers everywhere and the smell of tea in the afternoons. We just focus on getting through the daily pile of tasks. It’s a decent place to work, even if it gets a bit crowded when a big shipment arrives. People find us because they know we’ve been here at Prince Towers for ages. We just keep our heads down and handle what comes our way. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening and we usually go home pretty tired.
