Ses Export & Import

Being right here on Railway Station Road in Palavanthangal means we hear the trains pretty much all day long. Ses Export & Import is tucked into number 83/ 12c, and it’s a busy little spot. Most mornings, the walk from the station is crowded with people heading to work, and we’re just another door along the way. Inside, the space is mostly filled with boxes and some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking lists to make sure everything is where it should be. It’s not always easy keeping track of everything moving back and forth, but we manage. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s a regular routine. We aren't trying to be anything fancy, just a group of people making a living by moving goods. The neighborhood knows us, and we know the tea stall guy around the corner pretty well. He brings over a tray when things get really hectic in the office. By the time evening rolls around and the station gets loud again with the commute home, we’re usually packing up and making sure the shutters are locked tight. It’s tiring work sometimes, especially when shipments are delayed, but that’s just how this business goes. The floor is a bit scuffed from moving crates around, but nobody really minds the mess.
