Idikha Impex

Our office, Idikha Impex, is located in room B 502 of the Buckingham building at No. 37 on the OMR. It is a standard workspace where we handle a lot of the back-and-forth that comes with trading. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of people. It’s just a small team of us sitting at our desks. The view from the fifth floor shows a lot of the traffic on the OMR, which is usually at a standstill. We spend most of our morning on the phone or checking through shipping documents. The office itself is pretty basic. We have some old filing cabinets that are overflowing with papers and a printer that seems to have a mind of its own. There’s always a few boxes of samples sitting in the corner waiting to be sent out. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a calendar and some notes taped up. Lunch is usually eaten at our desks while we keep an eye on the emails. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the building's elevator gets stuck, so we end up taking the stairs, which is quite a climb to the fifth floor. We just try to get the orders processed without any mistakes. It’s a practical way to run a business and we don't feel the need to make it look like something it isn't. Mostly, it is just about managing logistics.
