Sen Impex

Paperwork keeps us busy at 12 Halls Road most days of the week. It’s not a very big place, but it gets the job done for what we do at Sen Impex. Usually, the morning starts with someone unlocking the front door while the street is still a bit quiet. There’s always a bit of dust on the desks that needs wiping down before the computers get turned on. We handle a lot of different things coming in and going out, so the phone rings quite a bit throughout the afternoon. Sometimes it gets a little loud when the traffic picks up outside, but we’re used to it by now. Most of us have been working here together for a while, so we don't really need to say much to know what needs to be finished. We just sit at our desks, drink our tea, and make sure the labels are right. It isn’t glamorous or anything like what you see in movies about big shipping companies. It’s just us in a small office on a regular road. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes the stacks of paper get a little tall when a big shipment comes through. Then we just stay a bit late to clear it all off so we can start fresh the next day. It’s a steady kind of life here. Yesterday the ceiling fan started making a clicking noise, so we had to get that looked at too. It's those little things that fill up the day between the actual work.
