Sankar Soft Drink

We’ve been here on Narayanan Street for quite a few years now. Most folks in Kodambakkam just know us as the place to grab a quick bottle when the heat gets to be too much. It is a small shop at number 6, nothing too fancy to look at from the outside. We usually start the day early, making sure the coolers are actually working and the stock is where it should be. Sometimes the crates get piled a bit high, but we manage. You’ll find us here through the afternoon when the sun is beating down on the road. It gets noisy with the traffic nearby, but you get used to that after a while. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. People just wander in because they’re thirsty or they live nearby and need something cold for their lunch. Sankar Soft Drink is just a regular part of the neighborhood. We know a lot of the faces that come through the door, though names sometimes slip the mind. It is mostly just about keeping the fridge running and making sure there is enough variety on the shelves for whoever walks in. It’s a bit cramped inside when more than two people are waiting, but nobody seems to mind much. We just keep doing what we do every day without making a fuss about it. If you happen to be walking by, you can’t really miss the sign.
