Our office is on Haddows Road 1st Street in Nungambakkam. The address is a bit confusing because it has an old number, 15, and a new number, 11. Most people still get lost trying to find us the first time. Nungambakkam is one of those places in Chennai where everything is moving all at once. Sanindco Impex is tucked away in a spot that feels a bit more secluded than the main road. We do a lot of import and export work, which means we spend way too much time looking at screens and talking on the phone to people in different time zones. The office has old wooden furniture that’s been here since we moved in. It feels solid, even if it’s a bit scratched up. We don't have a big corporate culture. We’re just a small team trying to keep up with the global trade stuff. Sometimes we stay late because of the time difference with other countries. We order some biryani and keep working. It’s not a fancy life, but it keeps us busy. The street outside is narrow, so parking is always a nightmare. We tell people to take an auto if they can. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just have a calendar and a lot of shipping documents. It’s just how we get by. We try to be helpful when people call, even if the phones are ringing non-stop.
