M K Dandekar & Co is located at 266, Mangadu Main Road. We are right in the middle of Kayeenthemillath Nagar. This area has grown a lot lately, but our office stays pretty much the same as it always was. It is a small place with a heavy wooden door that sticks sometimes when the weather gets humid. Inside, we have some old metal cabinets and desks that have been around since we first opened the doors. There are usually three or four of us working here at any given time. We don't have a big waiting room or fancy furniture for visitors. Most people who come in are just local workers or people we’ve known for years. We handle all sorts of daily tasks and keep track of things in our registers. The noise from Mangadu Main Road is always there in the background, but we don't really notice it anymore. Sometimes we have to step outside just to get a bit of fresh air because the office gets quite cramped with all the boxes and papers piled up in the corners. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of employees. We are just a small group of people trying to make a living and doing our jobs properly every day. The tea stall next door is where we get our morning break, and that’s usually where we hear all the local news. It’s a very ordinary setup, but it works well.
