Sakthi Sai Glass Traders

Down at 551 on Ph Rd. in Arumbakkam, things stay pretty busy with all the traffic going past. Sakthi Sai Glass Traders has been at this location for a bit, and the noise from the road is just part of our day now. We handle a lot of glass here. There are stacks of it against the walls, different sizes and types just waiting to be moved. You have to be careful moving around because it’s easy to bump into something if you aren't paying attention. We spend most of our time measuring things out or helping people who pull up with their trucks. It’s hard work, mostly because the glass is heavy and you can’t exactly rush when you’re carrying it. The shop floor usually has some bits of scrap here and there, but we try to keep it clear so nobody trips. We don’t really do fancy talk or big advertisements. People around Arumbakkam know where we are if they need something for a window or a frame. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, making everything inside look a bit brighter for a few hours. We just open up in the morning, do the cutting and the lifting, and then close up when the sun goes down. It’s a simple routine, and it suits us fine. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot, but we’re still right here on the main road doing the same work.
