If you come to Pantheon Road and head into Fountain Plaza, you will find us up on the fifth floor at 311. Sahuwala Exports Private Limited has been based here for a good number of years. The building is one of those busy commercial spots where there is always someone moving something in the hallways. Our office is fairly plain. We have some old wooden desks and a lot of filing cabinets because export work involves a massive amount of paper. Looking out the window, you can see the rush of Egmore below. It’s a lot of work managing shipments and talking to buyers from different places. We don’t really do much in the way of advertising. Most people find us through word of mouth or long-standing business ties. The air conditioner in the office struggles a bit during the peak of summer, but we keep the fans going. It isn't a glamorous life, just the daily grind of making sure the containers are booked and the invoices are correct. We have a small team here. We usually eat our lunch together at our desks while discussing the day's tasks. It is a steady rhythm. Some days are slower than others when the ports are backed up, but there is always something to organize or a client to call back.
