S S Marbles & Granite is situated at number 40 on 5Th Street in Ganesh Nagar. We are right here in Adambakkam. It’s a residential-style neighborhood, so we try not to make too much noise, but cutting stone is never really silent. We have a decent variety of slabs leaning against the walls. It’s mostly just granite and some marble we get from different suppliers. I’ve been working here for years, and I’ve seen a lot of kitchens and floors get started right here in this yard. We don't have a salesperson. Usually, it's just me or my partner showing people around. We tell them which stones are sturdy and which ones might stain if they aren't careful. It’s just honest talk because we live around here too. The yard gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a break then. We keep the place as clean as we can, but stone dust gets everywhere no matter what you do. People usually find us by word of mouth from their neighbors. We don't do big ads. We just focus on getting the slabs cut to the right size and making sure they get delivered without breaking. It’s a tough job on the back, but it's what we know.
